Hello Folks,

Interesting to know about how to get attracted by HR ?

Even when there was unemployment at high level, a shortage of skilled employees exists in many industries. The trick is how to identify, get attracted to them and finally get your dream job !!!!!

Make the presentation perfectly right. A poorly presented CV may spoil the chance of getting the call for interview. Clear and clean presentation plays a main role. Choose the perfect fonts with correct size. Stand away from the traditional fonts. If the font size is too small, CV may be hard to read. If it is very large it may feel that you dont have much to say. Make the perfect difference between heading, sub heading etc., Use line breaks, bullet points, bold whenever needed.

In the beginning itself try to say about your key strength in sharp. How it matches with the company. Add YOUR UNIQUE QUALITIES like achievements in curricular, co-curricular activities in sharp.

Adding the lines with your participation in 1 day workshop not at all going to add any positive vibration anyway, other than filling the pages.

HIGHLIGHT YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS IN YOUR PREVIOUS COMPANIES. It could be either change in work methodology, cost cutting, process enhancement etc., I used to highlight my NEW MILESTONES in all the way of my career.

Always try to give the local address for communication. Attend the phone while getting the calls as if you are speaking to your employer. Nothing wrong to speak in the regional language when there is a need, but not always. It depends upon the situation or job requirement. It could give you positive value or negative value.

Always attend the calls from the unknown number as if you are getting from your employer.

Common mistakes while trying your FIRST JOB

Hello friends,

Beware of common mistakes while trying your first job.

Avoid attaching scanned copies of your certificates, passport, conduct certificate in the first mail itself ( last week i have received a mail which is 23MB in size) No employer or HR TEAM have time to download and see all

Try to send your CV in PDF format. Ensure the format is perfect after converting your CV as PDF

Never ever forget to attach your CV

Preferred name is "CV_name_BE_ECE_2015.pdf" avoid name as "new resume.pdf", modified resume.pdf", "recent resume.pdf" Show the difference here too and make it ease the HR and employees and create positive vibrations.

write a covering letter for which job you are applying for and your strength in brief in the covering letter itself

More important :

Have seen guys visiting companies in groups. If you are going to mass recruitment compaign then thats fine. Don't let your friend to become your competitor :)

If you are very serious always be ready with the list of companies you are planning to visit. Visit the website of the company completely. Try to understand where you can fix yourself in that particular company. List out the credit level / aditional knowledge you have in accordance to the skills required.

Sorry guys i am writing the article when i have time. Will catch up. Excuse for the delay.

Do's and Don'ts while applying for a job - Part 2

Hello All,

Excited by seeing such a response for my previous post. Thank you all.

This made me to write the second post with TOP MOST PRIORITY WITH MORE CARE.

After creating the mail id,

Kindly ensure  the display picture you are selecting is like a job seeker. AVOID posting pictures which ATTRACT NEGATIVE VALUES. I have come across some profiles with their favorite celebrities. DAMN SURE employer's will DELETE YOUR CV IMMEDIATELY even before opening the attachment.

Spare more time in going through the job requirement. Never ever call the employer phone number / mobile number unless there is any genuine reason.  Some times me too getting calls like "We saw your advertisement, is there any requirement?" Wonder whats the reason to make a call like this and ask such a silly question ? This will only ANNOY the HR TEAM OR EMPLOYER and add your number in their BLOCK LIST.

Have come across good many campus selected students resigning their job after 2 years of experience. They joined in the job other than their core areas based on many factors. I recommend all the students who got selected in the campus other than core areas but waiting for join date, try to find a job which is your passion and strength. Don't go and join in the job since you got it in the campus only. This may lead you in the position like cat on the wall after some point of time.

Will share lot more soon ....   Keep reading....

Do's and Don'ts while applying for the FIRST JOB - Part 1

Based on my own experiences as a Career Consultant, formulating some suggestions for the freshers while trying for their FIRST JOB

Yes the truth is trying a job through online is more effective, But we need to know what is possible and what is not. It can not happen as a magic in a single click.

First of all, CONCENTRATE the MAIL ID you are about to use for communication. Avoid using mail id as "", "", but should be avoided to get a job.

So mail ids like above immediately VERY HIGH NEGATIVE VALUE before opening the CV itself.

Create a SEPARATE MAIL ID for JOB SEARCH. Use meaningful and BETTER READABLE as ""

Send mails only from your OWN PERSONAL MAIL ID, not from friend's or others.

Do focus on the DISPLAY PICTURE you have selected.

Send your CV only where your skill exactly suits. Narrow down your search with respect to YOUR STRENGTH. Customize your CV with respect to the particular openings. HIGHLIGHT the SKILLS you are MASTERED with respect to the post you are applying for.

Lot more will be shared soon ....
